How we think
We whiteboard
before we write code.
The best systems are drawn before they're deployed. We spend the first week with markers in hand, mapping every data flow, every decision, every failure mode — on whiteboards, in notebooks, on napkins if we have to. Then the code writes itself.
The rule
If you can't draw the system on a whiteboard, it's not ready to build. If you can, most of the work is already done.
01
Map the system
Every engagement starts on the whiteboard. Intake → automation → dashboard → output. If we can't draw it, we can't build it.
02
Name every flow
Data flows, processing rules, analytics, reports — every arrow gets labeled. Every box gets a contract. The whiteboard becomes the spec.
03
Sketch before specs
The messy sketching happens in notebooks first. Phase 1: structure. Client → system → output. Feedback loops are critical. Then — and only then — we write code.
